"Degenerate art" Joseph Goebbels exhibition "Degenerate Art" opened on 19 July 1937 in the Munich Hofgarten arcades. As one of 25 works by the artist Otto Mueller the painting "Boy was shown in front of two standing and one sitting girl" under the title "Act". The provenance was "Nationalgal. Berlin". The text of the part of the exhibition was "Jewish desert longing makes air - the Negro is in Germany to racial ideal of degenerate art." Until September 1939, the show was seen in ten other cities
