The five 22-volt Hilti B Nuron lithium-ion batteries boast an impressive power output and capacity. As a result, the tools they power have the performance level of corded or petrol powered tools. Equipped with an innovative new interface with four connectors, the batteries also feature sealed electronics, ensuring excellent protection against moisture and dust. External shock absorbers and a fibreglass housing provide improved drop protection.
Red Dot Design Award: Hilti SIW 4AT-22
The Hilti SIW 4AT-22 cordless impact wrench, with its brushless motor, is particularly impressive due to its low weight and short length, making it especially well-suited for working in confined spaces. It is equipped with two speed levels, which allow for the quicker fastening of larger screws and better control when working with smaller ones. Furthermore, the wrench has an anvil with a friction ring, and its improved LED light provides good visibility for the respective application.
Red Dot Design Award: Master M
The Master M is a compact welder for MIG welding. It is quick to set up, has an excellent power-to-weight ratio and is equipped with digital arc control. The unit’s safety is enhanced by its integrated, self-charging LED work lights and wire feed cabinet illumination. Its colour display and welding aid allow various parameters to be controlled and recorded. The modular concept allows for the customisation of a variety of specifications.

The newly designed mains cable offers improved durability and is easy to replace if damaged. With the help of the Cordless Data Module, data on usage, performance, location and battery status can be automatically transferred to the cloud during each charging process and made available to intelligent data services.
Red Dot Design Award: Hilti TE 2000-22
The Hilti TE 2000-22 is powered by the new 22 V Nuron battery platform and offers the same performance as comparable corded demolition hammers. However, the slim tool is comparatively easy to handle and control, thanks to its low weight and compact design. Portability is also easier and safer due to the absence of a cable. Furthermore, the demolition hammer is equipped with active vibration reduction and compatible with the company’s own dust extraction systems.

Developed for demanding woodworking applications, the DEWALT 60V 12 In. Double Bevel Cordless Miter Saw features a new type of single-battery technology which the manufacturer refers to as “CUT. CAPTURE. CHARGE”. This system captures the energy that is normally lost during sawing and feeds it back into the battery, extending the saw’s runtime while increasing its performance.

The STARRY work light was developed for both do-it-yourselfers and professional craftspeople. According to the jury, it “meets the expectations of both of these groups by taking into account mobility, handling and compactness, while offering various possibilities for positioning the lights” or even mounting them to a wall. The compact light can be focused in all directions regardless of the position of the base.

The Philips Xperion 6000 Flood Light range is a series of convenient and versatile work lights that offer both a wide-angle floodlight and a focussed beam. The jury liked its “practical functionality”, which makes it a “highly adaptable device”. The light implements a successful design concept, especially with regard to its positioning.

The ZEBRA ratchet with 360° rotating handle is a reversible ratchet with a sleek design whose base body with matt chrome plating gives it a stylish appearance. The handle material offers superior resistance to aggressive substances. According to the jury, the “exceptionally user-friendly functionality of the tool” is particularly evident in its innovative gear mechanism.
Red Dot Design Award: Pistol Air Pump
The Pistol Air Pump convinced the jury with “its exceptional versatility, which is evident in various integrated functions”. Equipped with expansion modules and a high-precision air pressure sensor, the flexible pump can be used for a variety of applications, e.g., as an automotive high-pressure air pump, an air compressor, a dust blower or even a mobile power supply unit.
