Spire with dragons on the Bourse (Børsen), Copenhagen (1625)

This is the spire of the Bourse (Børsen) located on the Slotsholmen in København. It was commissioned by Christian IV and built between 1619 and 1625. The first architect involved was Laurens Steenwinckel who died in 1619 when he was suceeded by his brother, Hans, Chief Architect to the King. The contract with the stone mason was agreed on 4 May 1619.
