Lake Pleasant Arizona

Old Waddell Dam, 1927, Lake Pleasant, Arizona. Originally named Carl Pleasant Dam after its designer. Completed in 1928, it was the largest multiple arch concrete dam in the world, standing 76 feet tall and 250 feet long, with a crest length of 2,160 feet. Total storage capacity was 157,000kaf. It now lies beneath the lake, submerged after New Waddell Dam was completed in 1992 as part of the Central Arizona Project.
