Use the included screw hook to display this hanging bird feeder from a shepherds hook / bird feeder pole, or purchase the bird feeder with our post mounting kit (as seen in the last listing photo) if you wish to mount this bird seed feeder on a 4x4 post or round pole (note - the hose clamps of the kit are used for mounting to a round pole, and if using this kit to mount the bird feeder on a 4x4 post, just remove the hose clamps and use the included deck screws to screw the kit to the 4x4). With an easy to open hinged roof and hook-and-eye closure system, filling this bird feeder with bird seed will be a snap! The bird feeder holds about 6 pounds of bird seed. The bird seed contained inside this bird feeder is highly visible thru the 4 vertical plexiglass windows, and finches, cardinals, blue jays, buntings, grosbeaks, and many other seed eating song birds will be attracted to this unique bird feeder. This bird feeder uses gravity to dispense the bird seed from the inner food storage compartment onto 12 individual wooden log perches (food trays). With the 12 individual food trays, many different song birds will be able to feed from this bird feeder at the same time. Our process of 'double joining' (gluing and screwing) all the wooden joints of our products provides for the strongest, most durable, most stable, longest lasting products available. Our products are never nailed together, because nails rust, pull out of the wood, cause wood to split, and are much weaker and far less stable than screws. Additionally, all of the exterior wooden surfaces of our bird feeders are generously treated with a high quality wood sealant and protectant, which makes them highly weather resistant.
