The beautiful Wood Duck, My inspiration for this piece comes from living on the backwaters of the Tennessee River. I live in the mountains now, but for years have lived on the backwaters of the Tennessee River. A beautiful waterfowl habitat and much of it protected. I would see wood ducks regularly while poking around in a kayak on many outdoor adventures. Lily pads, frogs, tadpoles, dragonflies, snails and fish all share his home on the water.
