Made in Italy, Europe  c. 1400-1415    Artist/maker unknown, Italian    Steel [blade]; iron [hilt]; wood replaced   Length (overall): 40 1/2 inches (102.9 cm) Blade: 3 7/16 x 31 3/4 inches (8.7 x 80.6 cm) Weight: 29 pounds 11.8 ounces (13.49 kg) Width (quillions): 10 1/16 inches (25.6 cm) Diameter (pommel): 2 5/16 inches (5.8 cm)

Dated: Late 15th Century Culture: Probably Italian Measurements: Blade 78.5cm. Overall length 99cm  Presented in excavated condition, the sword has a double-edged hollow-ground blade formed with a medial ridge running over its full length on both sides, tapering from a broad base to a long narrow point.
