Yasha Dzhugashvili (center), Stalin's son from his first marriage, is seen here after he surrendered to the Germans in 1941. Recently released Russian documents suggest that Yasha was written off by his father because of his surrender. Yasha later committed suicide by falling on the electrified fence of the Sachsenhausen  concentration camp in April 1943.
