Royal Wedding Of Prince Edward, Duke of Windsor & Wallis Simpson | The controversial Royal wedding of His Royal Highness The Duke of Windsor to Mrs. Wallis Simpson, took place on June 3, 1937 at Château de Candé near Tours, France. None of the members of the Royal family attended, because King George VI would not allow it. Wallis was to be formally known as the Duchess of Windsor, without the style "Her Royal Highness." She was instead styled as "Her Grace."
