This is an African chair from the 19th century that was hand carved and painted in a very elaborate nature. The intention for chairs that are elaborate with respect to its carvings and painting were for the chief himself to sit on. This symbolized the significance of the specific carvings, colors and build of such a chair with regards to the individual purpose of it.
Auf die Bänke klettern und alles anfassen, was zwischen die kleinen Finger kommt - auch wenn ein paar Papierlaternen drauf gehen, anfassen ist bei uns erlaubt :wink:

I adore the colour of Gunta Stolzl. It's vibrant and cheerful. The pattern isn't to over the top either. I am going for an interesting surface pattern however i do not want it to be to heavy…
