The heart and soul of any serious studio is the console and since moving to Estivella in November 2014, we have been looking for 'the one'. This is part one of the story detailing the factors that influenced our decision and what we eventually bought. 1974 Gibson Flying V #1. The first 'real' guitar guitar bought for my 18th birthday by good old mum and dad. It's retrofitted with two custom wound Lindy Fralin PAF's, Grover machine heads, GraphTech nut and saddles, a vintage Vibrola fitted and then refinished by Ted (the spray) Lee in translucent cherry. Now strung with D'Addario EXL150's.
