La Butte du Lion/Lion's Mound.
Constructed in 1820-1826 by King William I of the Netherlands to commmorate the location where the king's song Prince Willaim of Orange (William II) was wounded(left shoulder by a musket ball) on June 18, 1815 at Waterloo and for his actions at Battle of Quatre Bras.
Statue: Leo Belgicus - Coat of Arms of the monarch of Netherlands. Symbolizing courage and resting right paw on globe to signify global victory.
