The Sydney Town Hall Grand Organ is a large pipe organ built by English firm William Hill & Son in 1890. It is located in the Centennial Hall of Sydney Town Hall in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. When it was installed in 1890, Sydney Town Hall’s Grand Organ was the largest in the world & described as the ‘finest organ ever built by an English organ builder’. It contains one of only two full-length 64' organ stops in the world (the Contra-Trombone in the pedal) & is the only one working.

Albert Alain, né à Saint-Germain-en-Laye, le 1er mars 1880, commune où il est mort le 15 octobre 19711, est un organiste et compositeur français. Passionné de facture d’orgue, il construit au fil des ans (1911-1970) un instrument à 4 claviers et 43 jeux dans sa maison. Il est le père de quatre enfants aux dons exceptionnels : Jehan (1911-1940), Marie-Odile (1914-1937), Olivier (1918-1994) et Marie-Claire (1926-2013).
