Fighting and conflicting in and of itself is not a problem. The challenge is to create REPAIR soon after a fight. Repair skills are WORDS and ACTIONS that de-escalate tension and mend any hurts. They soften communication and make the other side feel heard and cared about. Use a SOFT tone of voice and gentle words. Use words like: "I'm sorry," "Let's start over," and "I can see your point of view." Is there someone you need to make amends with?
