Bruce Leslie McLaren was a New Zealand race-car designer, driver, engineer and inventor. He joined the Cooper factory team alongside Australian legend Jack Brabham in 1959 and became the youngest ever winner of a Grand Prix when he won the US Grand Prix of the same year aged 22 years and 80 days. Even after his tragic death at Goodwood in 1970, his name lives on in the McLaren team which has been one of the most successful in Formula One championship racing.
