The Wizard of Yester and the Goblin Hall - A Scottish Castle Built by Goblins

Although mostly ruined, deep within the castle's interior lies the infamous Goblin Hall, with one of the oldest surviving Gothic stone arched ceilings in existance, built in 1267

The subterranean vaulted chamber of Yester Castle, East Lothian, Scotland is known as Goblin Ha' or Goblin Hall. The castle was built by 13th century nobleman, Hugo de Giffard, reputedly a wizard who enlisted a band of hobgoblins to build this mysterious Gothic hall. The castle itself is ruined, and the Goblin Hall is not easily found or accessed. # spooky #Scotland
