‘Gone Clubbing’ was the result of relentless stubbornness. First made to be part of my White Lines documentary, this artwork was once white and had a couple of figures skiing on it before I painted it green to pursue a different idea. Size matters… That’s why I decided to make my largest artwork last year when I painted ‘Snowflakes’. Working on a piece that is bigger than I am required a lot of paint; 10 litres to be exact. It also required a lot of patience to paint each of the 61 figures but the result was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to make another painting this size. Perhaps even bigger!
