It may seem unusual to hear tap-tapping on keyboards and see goals being scored on the monitor at Krones, but for 35 apprentices that’s been a part of their everyday after-work routine for the last year or so. That's because they’re members of the newly formed e-sports team – and proof that training and gaming go perfectly together.

Filling up high in the mountains
It looks like something out of a science-fiction film, this gigantic factory perched right atop Roshi mountain and surrounded by more mountain ranges. Lajthiza supplies all of Albania with its top-quality mineral water. In high demand: Specialty beers are becoming increasingly popular
With double-digit annual sales growth – from zero to 65,000 hectoliters in 15 years – and growing international demand, it was only a matter of time before the Belgian specialty brewery De Halve Maan would need a new filling line with higher speeds and more packaging flexibility. And now, that time has come: The company, whose name translates as “Half Moon” in English, has installed a new line from Krones.

The last combined glass line for returnable and non-returnable containers that Krones installed at Winzer Krems ran for 20 years – and it served the Austrian wine cooperative well.
