Yesterday we harvested our sweet potato patch and are quite happy with the crop! Some where eaten by voles but hey! we’re in the northern part of Germany and haven’t expected anything because of the climate conditions here. We’re pleased for every tuber we‘ve dug out! We definitely gonna cook some curries, soups and oven roasted dishes like our sauerkraut stuffed sweet potatoes. Find the recipe up on the blog!

In September we organized a wonderful event here in our settler house. For dinner we cooked several dishes on fire like this baked potatoes with grape chutney and fried sage. Beside this, we had grilled carrots with fermented garlic and hazelnuts on a carrots top pesto.
