Carrying on with Americana theme from last week, I thought these scrappy red stars looked quite patriotic sitting on my dining table, don't you think? I've been working on these for a couple of evenings as a change from my other hand sewing WIP's. English paper piecing is a technique used to create various quilting projects. It is done by hand, using paper templates to stabilize scraps of fabric. This technique can be used to sew scraps of different shapes, but hexagons are the most popular and, of course, my favorite ;-) There are several ways to secure paper templates and sew hexagons together, this is how I do mine. Follow my blog to learn other how-tos, useful advice and sewing hacks.
