All photos © Tom Shu (Editor's Note: This guide to the Rule of Thirds in photography first appeared on Wit and Folly.) The Rule of Thirds is a very helpful compositional guideline that is a great reference point for beginner photographers or seasoned professionals. L1M1AP3- Rule of thirds: ( I personally prefer this vertical shot compared to the horizontal shot) photo taken at 6.10pm, handheld in vertical shot, f/9, 1/320sec, ISO-200, 55mm, no flash. Our local kookaburra friend admiring the views from our street light. The photo seems really simple but i seem to just keep coming back to this photo!
