Family tree
Description A family tree featuring the major and minor elves of the First Age of Middle-earth. I’ve been slowly working on this on and off for the past several months, and it’s finally done! However, I did grow a lot as an artist over the course of that time period, and as such there are some inconsistencies in terms of style; I went back over an corrected some of this; it’s still there, but I know it’s time to walk away from this one. This started out mainly as a reference sheet of simple…

Time to make stuff about the First Age! This time the good old Húrin, the steadfast, or Thalion in elvish. The father of Túrin Turambar, head of the house of Hador and the last of the lords of Dor-Lómin. The first thing you'll notice about this is I made him look very late roman, with a spatha and a late roman helmet, and with a clasp bearing the heraldry of his house in his swordbelt. I thing the asthetic of early migration era/late roman fits pretty nice with the edain of most of the First…

After being ousted from his throne he fled to Mumakan and sought refuge with the agents of the Dark-lord who resided there. Here he was offered one of the nine rings, and all its accompanying power. He accepted, becoming the Fourth of the Nine Nazgul.

Brodda was an Easterling chieftain, allied with Morgoth during the Battle of Unnumbered tears. He also invaded, pillaged and usurped the rule of Dor-lómin, Húrin Thalion's dominion during the First Age. This is part of an ongoing project in which I imagine some concepts for a fictitious film based on The Children of Húrin, the book written by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien but edited and finished by his son Christopher. Likeness inspired by actor Suraj Sharma. Check out Brodda's sword design…

The Sixth Age of Arda refers to the last of the "legendary" eras of Ambar, which is identified with the ancient era of our modern world. It is measured from the history of the first Middle-Mannish empires, through the Christian era into the Industrial Revolution until the Second World War (referred to as "the Six Years War" in The Notion Club Papers). The early years of the Sixth Age are marked by the spread of Middle-Mannish proto-Indo-Europeans multiplying and spreading about the…
