Ginger Davis Allman on Instagram: "Soap and water does not work well to clean polymer clay and the associated dyes, pigments, and substances that we use in our art. What does work, though, is rubbing alcohol. It's also known as isopropyl alcohol or ispropanol. No, this isn't the kind you drink.   Rubbing alcohol dissolves polymer clay, alcohol inks, paint, varnish (even dried varnish), liquid clay, and even uncured resin. It's an excellent solvent and it works VERY well as an all-purpose cleaning agent for your polymer clay tools and work surface. It also works wonders for smoothing fingerprints or removing lint from your UNBAKED polymer clay creations. Alcohol won't ruin your manicure or dissolve your tools. Sculpey on Instagram: "I use these little paint pots to store my liquid clay that I have custom mixed. I posted a story asking if anyone had questions about liquid clay, and most of the questions are about achieving different colors that are not offered by Sculpey yet! Mixing colors is all about color theory, and when trying to create a specific color, it is also important to take note of the luminoscity of the color. To create my color palette, I start off with White, Black, the Primary colors and colors with bright luminoscity such as this pretty fuchsia liquid sculpey. A little tip when mixing colors is that if you feel that the liquid clay is too thick for you, you can add a little drop of clay softener to thin it out! Another common question is about achieving translucent colors.
