Larch Bonsai (Larix)

Two common species are European larch (Larix decidua) and Japanese larch (Larix kaempferi) and there are also hybrids of the two. All other Larix species are also very suitable for creating bonsai. Golden larch or Chinese larch (Pseudolarix amabilis), despite the much longer light green needles, looks quite similar to Larix, but is not frost hardy and needs more moisture.
