But this page is here to help you with both ideas and how to guides to complete your own projects at home, so I’ve pulled together as much content as I could from my camera roll, and included step-by-step instructions as to how we created this space.   Here we go: 1. Remove skirting boards, if possible keep in good condition for reusing at the end!  2. Create a sturdy wooden base the depth of the kallax (so the Kallax unit sits flush on top of the base) and a few cm’s shorter than the skirting board, which you will place infront of the base at the end  3. Place the Kallax unit on top of the base  4.
