Our Fatsia Japonica has loved the mild, wet winter and spring, and this year it is probably the healthiest it has ever looked. It is looking lush with its large, green, glossy leaves and new growth. Last winter/spring I thought we had lost it when we had long periods of freezing temperatures and hard frosts and all new foliage just died. These are easy to maintain, I remove any yellowing leaves and this evergreen provides great structure for a shady spot. It will produce small white flowers in late Autumn. Elephant Ears are under planted with some self seeded Borage and Rose Campion which will bring a bright pink pop at some point. Also know as fatsi, paperplant, false castor oil plant, or Japanese aralia, Japanese Aralia, Castor Oil Plant, Rose Campion, Fatsia Japonica, Late Autumn, Small White Flowers, Elephant Ears, Cottage Gardens, Oil Plant
