Ok, so it does seem crazy to be working on two dresses at the same time....My friend Josie laughed at me when I told her what I was doing, which was rightly deserved. But there is a method to my madness. Since both dresses are using the same blue silk and the ivory silks are very close to the same color, I find that it is more time conscious to do it that way. Why? Because I HATE changing the thread on my machine! It is a total waste of time if you ask me. Ok, so maybe I'm just lazy…

Finally the day arrived Saturday! Mama, Gracie, Lizzie, our wonderful friend Tammy and I got to attend Depotfest, a celebration of the Nampa Depot that was built in 1903. Ok! Last installment of the Port Townsend trip. I was busy taking pictures of other people and places on Sunday and didn't keep an eye on the battery on the camera. I was in the middle of photographing Rebecca when all of the sudden the battery died! For all intents and purposes she's done. I just have to make the detachable collar, and then she is really done!! I am in love!! I'm a little stresses about how the back lays, but I think that I will be able to amend that with some tweaking! Of course a good ironing job will be done on the dress before I wear it....this fabric for some reason wrinkles super easily. Never had that problem with dupioni in the past, but oh well! Cebu was fantastic! We really enjoyed it there. The food was wonderful and the people were so nice. We did not meet a single bad cabdriver. BLISS.
