Found out any effort to secure and hide socket strips reduced blown fuses, disconnected fixtures and most of the havoc experienced with lighting a dollhouse. Unplugging transformer rather than using switch on socket strip was recommended as safer. Doing so also added reliability. Battery lights may be easier and neater but don’t seem to illicit that “wow” response from viewers when all the lights go on at once, so I stick with wired lights.
