the front cover of a magazine with cartoon characters in an old car and people standing around

One of the many of the West Coast magazines from Petersen Publishing in the 60s, mostly centered on car culture. Previously I've posted pages from CAR-Toons, Drag Cartoons, and Surf-Toons. Some day I'll have issues of Cycle-Toons, which I've never seen. Here are some pages from Hot Rod Cartoons, this one from November 1966. I believe the person driving is probably Pappy Lemmons, one of the main custom car figures like Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.

an old children's book with cartooning and how to draw funny pictures on it

My Dad used this book to learn how to cartoon in the 1930s. When I was kid he gave it to me. I spent hours copying the pictures out of it. After 28 years as a cartoonist/designer I still find that I use some of the tricks I learned from this book. It's old and crumbling and held together with yellowing scotchtape but it is still great. I made a copy of it in the mid 90's so I could stop handling it. These scans (except the front and back cover) are from those photocopies.
