Carlo Scarpa is truly a master of the detail. He gives an appreciation to the architecture he creates by masterfully crafting the materials he works with. I have also posted a series of his sketches which I think are great. To me the sketches show a passion for the design and an explanation for how these detail can be elegantly integrated into a greater whole.
