Late last year I had the extraordinary opportunity to play in the #ProAm of the Portugal Masters Golfe on the legendary Dom Pedro Golf #Victoria Championship Course. And I stayed in the Dom Pedro Hotels Vilamoura Hotel. Well, one thing led to another and I was allowed to explore all of this one more time for you:

The highland part of my #hiddengemroadtrip across Scotland was amazing but now it was time to drive down to the east coast and play some links. So after my short but remarkable bothy night at Craggan Outdoors Glenbeg Bothy I jumped into the car and headed over to Lossiemouth to play the new course of Moray Golf Club and later in the afternoon Nairn Golf Club. What a fine experience playing those two majestic world class links courses on one day.

Hotel DER BÄR Ellmau
The hotel “Der Bär” is a hotel in Ellmau that comes highly recommended. Everything is just right here, from the great service at reception to the wonderful dinner – a real treat. I particularly enjoyed the very traditional Brechel bath.

Ok, here’s a simple guide to having a wonderful time just 4 hours from Munich. World class golf combined with a fantastic time in a country with incredibly friendly people and extremely good cuisine. Now, everyone thinks I must have to get on a plane for this. Surely that must be far away? No! Many people think that Slovenia is a transit country that you pass through when you want to get to Croatia or the Mediterranean. Do yourself a favour and visit this little paradise!

Those of you I’ve spoken to know how much I love Royal Bled. The golf courses, especially the King’s course is outstanding. The combination of clubhouse, location and courses make this place ‘immaculate’. READ THE BLOGPOST:

A few weeks ago I got the invitation to visit the PGA Catalunya Resort together with nice colleagues (thetripreporter.co.uk, golfaviesen.dk, golfhome.ch and sebadtienbrochu.golf) and play the two associated golf courses, the flagship the Stadium Course and the matching little but not to be underestimated brother, the Tour Course.

During my „golf around the world trip“ in Scotland in the first half of 2017 something was going on in my heart, my soul and my golfing brain. The courses, the wind, the folk music and the warm and welcoming people of Scotland, oh and not to forget whisky and Pale Ale, infected me. So I decided to visit my so called „heaven“ again.
