For Geberit Silent-PP, the retaining claw now allows rainwater pipes up to a max. height of 20 m with max. internal pressure of 2 bar.

Building drainage systems designed with safety in mind protect lives by preventing a fire from being able to spread to an upper floor or across to a neighbouring flat. With pipe feed-throughs, Geberit fire protection sleeves help. These are placed around the discharge pipe and attached to the floor from below. At temperatures in excess of around 150 °C, the sleeve’s intumescent material swells up, sealing the feed-through before fire and smoke spread to other rooms or floors.

Plug-in connections are not lengthways non-positive, right? Or are they? With the new Geberit retaining claw for Geberit Silent-Pro and Geberit Silent-PP, a lengthways non-positive plug-in connection is produced. As a result, these Geberit drainage plug-in systems can be used for rainwater pipes up to a maximum height of 20 metres (maximum internal pressure of 2 bar). Good for plumbers who want to use just one piping system for the entire building drainage.
