Louis Brody (M'bebe Mpessa) born 1892, in German colony of Kamerun) - actor, musician, wrestler. His career began in the 1920s and lasted till his death in 1952. Brody did political work supporting Afro-Germans via the African Aid Organisation. In 1938 he married a black woman from Danzig. Unlike many colleagues and friends, he survived the Nazi regime while remaining active and successful as an artist. His roles often emphasized the racial stigmas against blacks in Germany at the times.
