THE BALLROOM OF THE CATHERINE PALACE. Tsarskoe Selo, Russia. Designed by Italian Architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli - Court Architect to Empress Elizabeth and master of the Russian Rococo/Late Baroque style.
Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, part of Louis XIV's third building campaign on the palace in 1678. It uses 357 mirrors in total. The Hall of Mirrors is one of my absolute favorite places in the world, and I want to see it in person so badly.
Queen Marie-Antoinette’s Bedchamber at Versailles. You can see, against the back wall, the monumental jewelry case she ordered. On the mantel, a bust of the Queen. Above the mirror, a portrait of Joseph II, her brother. Portraits of Louis XVI and Empress Maria Theresa (not visible here) also decorate the room.
