We have hard water build up in our toilets and we have tried everything organically possible. We have even tried chemical cleaners with no luck. This Pumie Scouring Stick rocks!!! It was so easy and our toilets look like new again.
Cornstarch cleaning trick: Cornstarch “I add a teaspoon of cornstarch to a cup of white vinegar and a cup of water (my standard window cleaning solution) and the results are incredible,” says Melissa Maker. “The glass becomes so shiny and crystal clear. The cornstarch is the magic ingredient—it’s a very fine natural abrasive that helps work away grime and leave behind a streak-free shine.”
I have found that Zep acidic bowl cleaner, available at Home Depot (and probably Lowe's) will clean just about any stain on a toilet bowl. For extra tough stains, I have painted the cleaner directly on the stain with an old paintbrush after dipping some of the water out so as to expose the bowl stains at the waterline. Let it sit for a while, then scrub with the brush. Works like magic
