At the head of the table sits Captain Longe (it is his house after all!) Captain Longe was well known for his work promoting the rare breed Suffolk Punch horses and Red Poll cow. His herd not only provided enough milk for the estate, but also provided a surplus to be sold round Stowmarket town centre. http://eastanglianlife.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/2008-86.jpgds
