The final result of this hair transformation!! Using 8WG 6N clear of Redkens…

pre: client had half an inch of natural regrowth level 2, followed by two inches…

Not necessarily something I would personally do with the color (although the shading is beautiful), but really liking the style.

✨ this client is naturally very dark and maintenance was starting to be too much to keep up with. but.....she wasn't ready to completely give up on being blonde so.....I did a wet on wet Colormelt using just @redken5thave shades eq to give her a rooty lived in look! #livedinhair

FORMULA: Balayage For A Bright Blonde

"Courtney was actually a new client who found me through social media," says Amanda Rae (@hairby.amandarae) of Amara Salon and Spa (@amarasalonandspa), Regina, Saskatchewan. "She came in with about 2" of regrowth from a full head of foils and said that she wanted to be a lighter blonde, but more natural. She brought in pictures of a balayage blonde. Her goal was to still be super blonde but something that was easier to maintain since she is a student." Here Rae shares the how to for this…

I do a natural highlight in foils alternating 2 colors. One is a bleach lightener, the other is a high lift blonde with violet and blue undertones. I use Redken Up to 7 lightener and Redken Blonde Idol high lift. After the highlights have processed I tone your roots at the shampoo bowl blurring the highlights and giving the color a lived in, natural look. I use Redken Shades EQ 9GB, 9NB and 9V for 5 min on towel dried hair. Sometimes I will tone the ends using 9V.
