Three-sheet poster from this year's Shakespeare in the Park campaign by Paula Scher

Three-sheet poster from this year's Shakespeare in the Park campaign by Paula Scher

Year: Unknown Subject: The iconic skull from Hamlet. Designer: Paula Scher It was at this moment that I realized that Scher specializes in making posters for theater groups to advertise their productions. What a better way to advertise Hamlet than to use the skull used for the line "To be, or not to be? That is the question." The skull, and the line, both click in peoples' minds.
