Paul and Linda McCartney's Ram - in pictures

CBS Studios, New York, 1970, the year the break-up of the Beatles was announced More

The Hofner is a pleasure to play and is great for long sessions due to its light weight. Paul is supposedly still playing his original instrument although obvious modifications have been made. It does seems to at least be the one he used for the rooftop concert at EMI in '69 since it still has the set list taped to the back.

Thomas Sangster <3 He can play guitar and actually learned to play it left-handed for his part as Paul McCartney in Nowhere Boy!

Paul McCartney

Beatle Paul McCartney with his 2nd Hofner violin bass onstage at Olympia Stadium in Detroit, Michigan, Aug. 13, 1966. Notice the pick guard is in place at this point.

Paul McCartney. Because he is such a great music writer, one can forget that he is one of the greatest bass guitar players in history of rock and pop music.
