Heydrich in his Luftwaffe uniform: As he rose in the ranks of Nazi leadership, everyone knew he was the most dangerous man in Germany, even his own leaders. He was an unscrupulous, lethal, self-serving man who could fabricate enough rumor and innuendo to bring down anyone. He grew so arrogant, at one point he said he could topple Hitler himself "if the old man gives me any sh*t!" Czech resistance fighters assassinated him in 1942.
