Atonement - Ian McEwan. This book really, REALLy annoyed me. It has one of the most incredible plots, but I found McEwan's writing to get so tangled up in elaborate descriptions of irrelevant events that the plot got sidetracked! Still, a very valuable lesson can be learned about jumping to conclusions!
