Foxton has two staircases of locks, each with five locks to navigate. Market Harborough is an attractive market town whose center is within walking distance of Union Wharf.

This photograph shows the celebrations for the coronation of King George V on the 23rd of June 1911. It was taken by Thomas Kay from a first-floor window on the west side of the Square in Market Harborough.   The people of Harborough watch uniformed groups of men parade in the Town Square. These groups include local volunteer regiments, the fire brigade and the boy scouts. In the background is the coronation banner.

More than 20 unaccompanied horses brought traffic to a standstill in the busy town centre of Market Harborough, Leics, when they decided to go walkabout after escaping from their field at the weekend. The herd was eventually rounded up and returned safely to their homePicture: Raymonds
