Prince Arthur of Connaught (1883--1938), 2nd child and only son of Arthur, Duke of Connaught. Arthur had a military career and saw active duty in the 2nd Boer War. In WWI he served as aide-de-camp to Gens. John French and Douglas Haig. From 1920--1924 Prince Arthur was Governor-General of the Union of South Africa. He married Princess Alexandra of Fife, granddaughter of his uncle, King Edward VII. They had one child, Prince Alistair.
