Andrew Wyeth. Stunning!

Andrew Wyeth lived in my hometown when I was young. We had several Wyeth prints in our home. Betsy Wyeth (wife) used to stop by my parents antique store - 13 Colonies Village Store - on Rt. 1. She even signed a Wyeth art book my Mom had. Always have loved his work.

Andrew Wyeth "Anna Kuerner" Tempera on panel Time spent with Andrew Wyeth was like living "in" art history. Andy and I spent a lot of time together in Maine and in and around Chaddsford. He would just walk into his neighbors' houses and look around for subject matter. He'd grown up on the hills behind his father's studio, and he continued to roam there his entire life. I remember one time we went and visited Anna Kuerner, she looked exactly like he portrayed her, a Pennsylvania farm wife…
