Extraordinary “Buitengewoon” Veurs is a holiday home & inspiration for living outside the ordinary!
While the architecture combines openness with cosiness, very specific criteria are applied to the materials used. The owners decided that the building materials and interior accessories for the holiday home should be local or recycled and the clay earth of the walls also corresponds to this credo. #claytours #sanftertourismus #nachhaltigreisen #travelslow #staylocal #mindfultravel #earthenplaster #claybuilding #clayarchitecture

on the banks of the Loire in Orleans, you will find the church of Saint Aignan.
You will find many passages in the Bible in which earth plays a special role - The design of the new church furnishings makes reference to this. Following the designs of the architectural office Cyril BOUCAUD, the wood and earthen clay construction experts from DRUWID built the altar, the lectern, the tabernacle and the baptismal font using rammed earth. #claytours #sanftertourismus #postcardplaces #slowtravel #rammedearth #stampflehm

In the Hensel Winery showroom, their three core values are combined: quality, enjoyment & modernity
The decision was made to use clay plaster as the wall surface. The natural building material improves the air in the room by binding particles and odours as well as regulating humidity. A soundproof ceiling ensures pleasant acoustics. Thanks to its design versatility, it is also perfect for modern architecture. #claytours #sustainabletravelling #sanftertourismus #lehmfarbe #earthenplaster #claybuilding #clayplaster

The original house of the Kötterhof hotel was built in the 17th century to house day labourers
Since 2020 the historic half-timbered house has been a family hotel with eight “chambers”. Inside, the walls were painted with white clay-earth paint. The white of the plastered surfaces creates an exciting contrast to the construction timber, which has taken on a dark colour over the centuries. #claytours #sustainabletravelling #sanftertourismus #staylocal #urlaubindeutschland #fachwerksanierung
